Get Away This Christmas And New Year

|

Some people love the Christmas period, with its long dark nights, cold days, and naked commercialism. For some though, the string of bank holidays present the perfect opportunity to escape these shores for somewhere warmer, or just somewhere different.

Here we present some perfect itineraries for a Christmas/New Year break – contact us for more information or to start planning. Flight prices can be high over the period, so it’s worth booking sooner rather than later.

South India

December and January are good times to visit the south of India, with temperatures being pleasant, and the monsoon a distant memory. Kerala has some decent beaches to relax on to Vietnamfinish with.

Vietnam

Vietnam’s weather is always a bit tricky to predict, but December and January can be excellent times to visit – though as at anytime of year, you should expect to see a little rain. Vietnam also combines well with Cambodia for Angkor Wat.

China

ChinaThe far south of China is warm in December and January, but most of the country is pretty chilly. If you can stand the cold, the Harbin Ice Festival is at this time of year. A festival/competition of ice sculptures, these seem to get bigger and more elaborate each year. Harbin combines well with Beijing – which will be cold, but the Great Wall under a dusting of snow is a site to behold, and you’ll have it pretty much all to yourself.
