Where to go in 2021

Everything feels better when you have something exciting to look forward to. That could be the completion of a kitchen extension, a loved one’s birthday party or… a vacation. While you may have been able to look forward to other things, vacations have been in rather short supply for us all recently. But not for much longer! After all the chaos of Covid-19 (we promise we’ll stop talking about it one day) it’s hard to know where to go on vacation. So, we’ve gathered some of the countries that we think should be on your radar.

Japan

With its frenetic cities, delicious cuisine, stunning countryside and fascinating history, Japan is a truly unique destination. After getting to know our own backyards so well, this is a great way to go somewhere where everything is completely different, no matter where you call home!

France

Wander fragrant lavender fields, sample wines in the very vineyards they’ve been made in for centuries, lounge on the Riviera beaches and enjoy some city bustle in iconic Paris. There’s a good reason why France has been such a popular holiday hotspot for hundreds of years… And like its wine, it’s only improved with age.

Argentina

Whatever kind of holiday-maker you are you will find something to please you in Argentina! The bustle of Buenos Aires is sure to please any culture vulture with its stunning architecture and fantastic night scene. Nature lovers can also get their fix in the vast wildernesses, from Salta to Patagonia, and wine lovers will be one step closer to heaven in the vineyards of Mendoza (and that’s not just because they’re at altitude!).

Greece

Whitewashed villages clinging to rocky hills above azure seas, olive groves providing shade from a Mediterranean sun, grand colonnaded ruins hinting at ancient splendour – Greece is a destination for the sunseekers, the romantics and the history lovers. Go to relax and unwind with a healthy dose of culture, and if you fancy a bit of a buzz you can always let loose on Athens’ nightlife scene.

South Africa

South Africa is such a vast country that you can have many kinds of holiday within its borders. Do you want a cosmopolitan getaway exploring the cultural haven that’s Cape Town? Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a feast for the senses! Volcanic slopes cloaked in rainforest echo with the calls of colourful birds, mammals and insects. You can breathe in the steam rising from a hot coffee that’s been grown, ground and roasted right in front of you. Dip your toes in either of the oceans that fringe its shores – the Pacific or the Caribbean? It’s your choice. Fantastic for families, groups and couples alike, Costa Rica should be high up on your holiday wishlist for 2021.

England

Rolling hills and valleys, gorgeous country pubs, a stunning and varied coastline, and oodles of history and culture. England is a fantastic destination in which to enjoy rural tranquility, great food and getting into the great outdoors, whether that’s in the parks of great country estates or the wilds of the many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
