November Update from our Founders

November is here! Our team Bake-Off is almost over (Cliff’s alfajores are the latest hit), our Christmas meal is booked and Secret Santa is getting underway. There are also rumours of a ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ but these remain unconfirmed… October was our busiest month ever and, with 45 destinations to look after, there is still plenty to keep us busy. From adding new destinations to planning our first travel competition, here is the latest news from HQ…

So proud to announce that we are providing the first prize for the UK’s biggest and most prestigious travel writing competition. We are offering an unforgettable safari experience –  exploring Uganda with our talented local operators, Kombi Tours. The competition, supported by Bradt Guides and Stanfords, aims to recognise talent within the travel writing community. Welcome Malawi

We are thrilled to announce that Malawi is now live on the TravelLocal platform! Our local experts, The Responsible Safari Company, are as eco-friendly as their name suggests. The old-style group tours, shuffling on and off tour buses, are a thing of the past. We recently spoke to some customers who, having returned from a trip to the Caucasus, were wanting to create a custom itinerary for them and their friends. World Travel Market

We spent a few days in London at the World Travel Market! It was a great opportunity to meet lots of our local operators face to face and chat to them about the future of TravelLocal. They are more dedicated than ever to providing high quality, bespoke experiences and have got plenty of exciting ideas for new itineraries. It’s great to be part of such a friendly and engaging industry (we are already looking forward to next year!)
